What was that? Alejandro had thought he saw a giant bat or something fly up toward the sky. Could this be something he was looking for? He ran to the spot where it had went up, and thought he saw it about one-hundred feet in the air! He quickly threw a knife, hoping it might hit it's mark. "Everybody, return to your homes! That thing may have marked the sign of a great evil!" He yelled. Though a guard then soon came up to him.

"What do you think you're doing? Let us handle this jester!" The man said.

"I am but controlling the people, and trying to stop whatever that was!" Alejandro responded. Though the guard then armed himself with his sword. Obviously one of the bad ones.

"I would rather not kill you, Herald, I presume?" Alejandro asked.

The guard looked nervous, then asked, "How do you know about the Heralds? And we are the saviors! Not one of you little darkness soldiers!" This was getting crazy, and the man was spewing out information Alejandro had never expected. There was a whole group. Now he understood! The fortune teller didn't mean Herald the name, she meant herald as in status! But who were these darkness soldiers? This was odd, too much for him to take in, did that bat-like creature know anything? Alejandro then ducked down when the guard swung his sword, disarmed him, and ran into the forest with the guard as a prisoner.

Unfolding the piece of paper her eyes scan over what was written on it before sighing and crumpling the note in her hand. Irritation begins to rise within her but she forces it aside. Samantha wants to be at the side of her love but her task is taking longer then expected. Not caring who was looking black, angel like wings unfurl from beneath her hair, extending to theor full 6 foot wing span. With one downward flap she soars up into the air, stirring up dirt that was upon the streets of the market while she vanishes into the darkness of the night sky.

Still torn between being at Kain's side and finishing what she started Samantha waffles indesicively before spotting a man just slightly visible in the shadows. He is about 60, but has clearly aged well, rather distinguished looking and still handsome even in his advancing age. Samantha's amethyst hues meet his slightly watery emerald eyes and they nod to the other almost simultaniously before Samantha begins her slow pace towards the male. "Titus" she says to the male.

"Hello Samantha, everything is as it has been" Tistus says to her in a gravely voice rather unsuited to his appearance. As he speaks he extends his hand and Samantha takes it in her own in a firm handshake. The piece of paper that Titus had been holding between his fingers passes to her unseen by others then he simply turms and walks down an alleyway, vanishing into the night.

A smirk pulls at the corners of her mouth while she eyes the men down and something tells them to back away. As they turn to go Samantha laughs darkly and watches them for several moments before her heart suddenly begins to race within her chest and the smirk across her lips turns into a genuine smile, her eyes soften for a fleeting moment that most would fail to even notice. "My love" she says beneath her breath, her body and mind sparking to life as she can feel her beloved, while far away she knows he has returned. Her mind races for she is torn between abandoning her mission for the time being and returning to her husband's side. Tilting her head back minutely she whispers into the wind the only words that matter, "I love you my king." Once the words cross her lips she can almost see them floating on the breeze being swept away to Kain's ears.

Swearing beneath her breath Samantha watched the young woman being chased down. Quickly she phased through the ground and rose back up between the young woman and those chasing her. "I will pay for what she took" Samantha stated, her ivory fangs glistening behind crimson lips, her amethyst hues flashing the color of coal before returning back to normal. The men stopped and eyed her buying time for the woman to have made her escape.

Alejandro sighed. He knew he was acting slightly impatient, but was it bad to be impatient when the quicker you got your answer the quicker you could help people? He noticed a woman with a bag of fruits and vegetables Something seemed off though. He realized what it was as soon as he started looking, and listening. "Theif!" Shouted a man, crawling out of his stand. It looked like he was shouting in the direction of the woman with the bag, who was running! He was about to go stop her, before realizing a way this could help him. While others stared, he slid between two stands and climbed up a wooden building using a window as a foothold. He jumped from building to building, though remaining crouched for none could see him. He was going to see how the guards reacted soon enough...

Samantha kept a weary on on the male and his wanderings before she turned her head back in the direction she had been walking, always trying to blend in with the crowd and not draw attention to herself. The last thing she needed at this moment was trouble. She needed to find the cornerstone and put it in a safe place before falling into the wrong hands. While it wasn't the piece of Eden the contents within the cornerstone could still be dangerous if in the wrong hands. Out of the corner of her eye she walked a young woman steal an apple from a nearby vendor. Samantha sighed and knew the oppression forced on the people would only make matters like that worse.

Many people turned their heads as Alejandro made it to a stall. Even the merchant was amazed by his clean, large prize, He recieved fifty dollars for it, thanked the man, and wandered deeper into the market. Eventually he came across a supposed Fortune Teller who he thought might be able to help him in his search for the guards. Even if not, she said Alejandro would not be charged as a gift for bringing in such a nice animal. She said to look for the Heralds. Heralds? Were there multiple guards named Herald? He thanked the lady thinking this might be the information he needed and walked off. He looked for any lone guard or anything that may lead him to discovering the bad guards.

The scent of blood suddenly filled Samantha's nose and she turned her head, glancing over her shoulder so she could spot where the smell came from. In the distance she spotted a male with a rather large deer and she forced herself to resist the bloodlust that quickly rose within her. Her eyelids narrowed to slits while watching the male and noting she had not seen him before. 'Need to keep an eye out' she warned herself, always cautious for any being that might be on the side of Nihilus and the Heralds.

As he munched on an apple, Alejandro scouted the city from the high tree branch he was sitting on. Oh how he loved medievil things such as this town! Though he wasn't here for a tour, he had heard some of the guards were taking the law into their own hands. Bandits had been killed after only one small crime, people were being punished for standing up for themselves. Though since all the guards wore the same uniforms, the guilty ones were almost impossible to find.

Bored, he scouted the city for anybody lost or who seemed to be in need of company. Though he then spotted a buck a few yards to the right hidden behind some trees. Carefully walking across a branch, he made it to the next tree and was about five feet away from his prize. He silently crawled until the buck quickly moved it's head in his direction, though lower. Once the buck turned it's head back down to graze, he swooped down, stabbing it in the neck with his dagger. A clean, large prize now layed below his body. He proceeded to pick it upm and quickly walked into the market with it.

Upon leaving the park Samantha falls into the heavy crowd of the market. She allows her attention to be pulled from left to right by those that call out for the beings passing by to look at their finely crafted wares or the freshest produce in the city. She feigns interest at several items before again falling into the sea of people and looking like a fish on it's way up stream. Her hair sways softly from sside to side matching the soft sway of her hips with eadh graceful step she makes, the look of determonation still resting in her amethyst hues while giving off the impression of just wandering aimlessly.
