PostThe Festival Grounds

Jesters greet you with a smile, juggling balls and bells jingling upon their clothing, pan flutes and recorders playing their tunes that waft upon the breeze. Meed and ale flow freely from mugs while wooden rides are placed for your amusemnt as well as wooden stalls offering you warm food to satisfy your needs. Have fun and have your face painted into something fanciful or perhaps you lean towards the darker side and wish the devil within you to show through to the surface.

Elm watched in anxiety the events unfold, seldom could he see Thyra’s face gradually turned grim as if possessed with an inexplicable entity she wanted revenge; she could almost taste it. The elvish knight couldn’t take anymore chances and so made a sharp decision, lunging forward with all this strength he threw Thyra over his shoulder and began to flee, she screamed and shouted demanding him to let go but he kept running, and then chanting.
Several glyphs began to appear scattered around Revan, the patterns broke into whisping strings of turquoise light until they bound and conjured the Undead, their morbid cries hallowed throughout Ardor’s festival in everlasting punishment. Elm’s distraction would buy them time to escape.

Revan was unconcerned with the womans remark or that of her companion, even as she grasped his throat or what of it she could. "Adults huh? Settling this dispute between me and the male has already occurred. I was merely swatting a fly. Simply because I wanted to. And now, to end the show." He said with a malicious voice, his glowing eyes then turned to the grieving human female. With a flash from his eyes, the female suddenly burts into flames, screaming in both horror and pain as her blood and flesh began to boil and she was cooked alive. Revan then also burst, but into maniacal laughter, his deep voice booming as it echoed throughout the once festive gathering turned into a very real horror show straight from hell. His laughter causing his tattered hood to fall off of his head, revealing his demonic vampiric skull, totally void of any flesh. A true face of horror.

The elvish knight dashed over towards the woman and pulled her away from the bloodbath her alarming screams grew worse as she struggled to come to terms with her loss “YOU MONSTER!!” he spat out in such rage his knees turned weak, black orbs eyes now turned a ferocious amber. Meanwhile Thyra watched in devastation the essence of the moment it brought flash backs of her similar fate, she knew too well of the woman’s desolation.
Rapidly Thyra rose to her feet within a split second her hand clenched Revan’s throat securely coming to close eye contact “I’m sure we can settle this like adults” morbidly she thought about the different ways of torturing a immortal but she was better than this, and so the Vampyre let go; with some regret. Looking over to Elm she saw his disappointment indeed this was no battlefield.

"I'm sure you don't." He say as while taking his eyes off of the two and turning to glance at the detestable surroundings again. One could hear his bones grinding against each other as he turned. "If your companion is to get in the way of our buisness I will not hesistate to do away with him. I trust you knew this already but if not, it has been stated." As he spoke Revan took in the males scent, a drunken youth then approuches him. "Heeeyyy, you smell li-" Before the male could blink a boney tail had ravaged his form, cutting his abdomen into hundreds of pieces, which fell apart in a heep of sliced inards and blood. A female screamed and ran to the heeps side, crying out at the loss of her mate. "OH MY GOD NOOOOO!!!!" As she continued to scream in emotional pain, Revan turned to Thyra. "Such a pleasent melody she plays, yes?"

“I don’t know what your on about” abruptly replied the Vampyre sitting there in a cavalier fashion, she released Elm’s wrist without shilly-shallying he seemed to be at ease now but little did she know about his capability.

He stood unconcerned with the others, his gaze traveled between the the male and his blade, his pounding heart music to the undead ears of Revan. Promting him to step closer, the smell of burning flesh slowly emitted from his person as he neared. "Needing escorts now Thyra?"

Suddenly the elvish knight kicked over his tanker of ale extinguishing half the camp fire; he was startled by the unearthly being presented before those and swore with his native elvish tongue “Damnation!” Fear spreaded around Ardor’s Festival grounds like wild fire with an uncomfortable silence, only a few courageous and drunkard folk dared to stay.
Thyra swiftly grasped his wrist with intent she knew Elm would draw his blade and thus he almost did, only to some extent she could perceive his heart beat echoing inside his suit of armour “calm down will ye, there is more ale where that came from” subtly amusing her guests alizarin crimson eyes gazed up at Revan ominously.

In the time it takes for one to blink, Revan's form would appear before the both of them, making not a sound in his sudden entrance. The large tattered cloak which he wore remained up his form just as before and his sleeves remained littered with burning arachnids. Glowing red sockets viewed the two, as for their surroundings he saw this with disgust. His hood drawn over his face keeping only the sockets of glowing embers visible. Merely gave his presence as his greeting before others would notice his obvious appearance and react with both fear and puzzlement.

Elm crouched down near the fire as winds caressed flames it sent dozens of embers twirling outwards and wisping like fireflies, his black eyes illuminated a pool of crushed red velvet pausing in thought.
"What are your views on Necromancery?" he asked out of the blue and random she thought.
"Eh, why do you ask?" Thyra quickly diverted his question to save the inconvenients. Her mind kept jumping to all sorts of conclusions but who was she to judge?
"Just tell me." he awaited as if to take a hit.
"If you must know... I believe them to be talented mages whatever their motive. They posses the knowledge to raise and renaminate the dead, to an extent, rather morbid I believe but their skill can be of some use I purpose" she then peeked up to find his suprised reaction, over suprised he looked as if she told a really bad joke.
"You actually believe that?!" Elm question again just be on the safe side. Thyra nodded confidently as she drank down the warm ale its flavour slightly subsided.

Thyra made a slight coy grin catching on to what he could possibly suggesting "Don't tell me, your an Necromancer?"
"My gods, your quick!" he chuckled nervously as the locals strolled past glaring at them both suspiciously Elm took note of this and promptly altered the subject. "Hasty you are. Why yes! We fought two of them a week ago, what a fiesty bunch and quite a scrap it was... Umm.." his free palm now waved gesturing to carry on the act. At first she was puzzled as to why he did this, why he so much wanted to avoid the inevitable "Couldn't ask for a greater challenge..." she unwillingly agreed downing yet more ale mimicking him.

Finally they reached the Festival grounds greeted by roguish jesters and merry folk, the area itself felt enchanted with a antiquated warmth something she found familiar with age. Waving around small crowds of dancers Elm proceeded to guide the way towards an open camp fire accompanied by small comfortable logs placed around in a large circle. The elven knight sat down beside her adjusting his chainmail hood expressing somewhat grief "So what did you mean earlier when you said you wasn't so perfect?" Thyra asked quite frankly.
"I knew you was going to say that."
"What can I say, a problem shared is a problem halved?" she said signaling to a nearby wrench swaying around with a curious lusty smile and over flowing tankars.
"Its not soo much as a problem you se-" before he could finish the Vampyre calmly interrupted "I know. That is why I confronted you, and that you and I are somewhat the same..." she acknowledged glancing back to him with tankar of cool ale in hand.
