PostHallow of Darkness

A quant and cozy tavern that smells of oak from the crackling fire that ever burns in the dark corner, the embers spark and crackle creating a soothing atmosphere. The wooden bar rests off to the side of the room, and there are several tables with chairs as well as booths that sit upon the worn wooden floor. Upstairs are many guest room for weary travelers. Jin the Silent
the new life style.
Post Tue Sep 13, 2011 7:48 pm  Jin the Silent
ever since Jin came into this tavern, a great change happened. months have past, and Jin adapts himself into having swinging lifestyle. he even works as the bartender at times just to have some cash in his pocket. on fridays he would party with the ladies in the tavern, and take them to his room doing immoral things to them like a true player.

Now, the full moon has come, and his memory of who he really was came rushing into his mind. Jin was on his bed when his flashbacks took place. "why am I still here? I should be doing something with my life.." jin said to himself. he looked at his hands as the mana he once had fully flurished with energy, now dimmed due to lack of meditation.

"this ends today, its time to explore the world and its greatness!" said jin arising up from his bed, taking his bag of scrolls, and potions, tools used for magic, and craftsmenship. he picked up a bottle of ink unfused with magic, and prepared a meditation circle. Candles were then set up all over his room, and spellbooks were placed on the floor. Jin would then sit on the center with his legs crossed. he would then begin his meditation which the entire room became completely silent. the streets from the outside, and the people below, and above are no longer heard. Jin's meditation has led him back to the Realm of the Heavens in his astro projection form. The realm of The Grand Dynasty.

"Oh uh, heh, no worries..." Shenlong said with displeasure. "It's only a little ice." He tugged his foot up, realizing the ice was stronger than he had thought. He tugged again harder this time and managed to pull himself free of the, however in doing so, he sent himself crashing down onto the ground, a chunk of the floor stuch to the bottom of his foot. By now he new the joke had worn itself thin and he sighed. "Uh...can we maybe start over?" He reached out his stump, which evasion red, but not bleeding, in an attempt to 'shake' her hand. By now his hand under the hat had been wriggling and hopping around under the hat.

When the male approached her, her eyes narrowed at him in almost a glare. She then listened to what he had to say, seeming to make random small talk. He looked suspicious again, and Elizabeth caught this easily. She heard feint scratching from behind the male, and a smile crossed her lips. "Oh, you mean this?" She asked in a teasing tone, before 'accidently' spilling what was left of her water onto the floor where he was standing. "Oh! Jeez, I'm so sorry!" She gasped, pointing to the water that surrounded his feet. When she pointed, the water began to freeze around his shoes.

As she worked on freezing his feet, she decided that the distraction would be a good way to get her hat from behind him. She smirked a bit, as she quickly moved her hand behind him, melting the ice, and moving the puddle of water to carry her hat, and the hand underneath it, toward her. When, and if he noticed, she would instantly freeze the border of her hat again.

Though she was moving the hat, she kept her eyes on the freezing liquid on the ground. She did this mainly to keep his eyes away from the hat, and to his feet. Even if she couldn't complete the freezing process around his feet, the girl was determined to keep his hand away from him.

Shenlong was waiting axiously for a scream but to his dismay, it was never to be heard. He looked back over at the girl and saw the film of ice around her hat that hadn't been their. "Shit..." He mumbled under his breath before standing with a sigh and walking over to the girl.

He stopped and stood rather close to the girl as to obstruct her view from her hat. With his hand that was still attached to him, he began to scratch at the ice with his unsheathed claws behind his back. "So!" He stated, a bit louder than really necessary. "Uh, how you doin? I couldn't help but notice that you were doin some pretty crazy stuff with that there water. You must be a magician right? That's pretty cool. Do you get paid for stuff like that?" His claw continued to furiously scratch at the ice.

The girl smiled, glancing over toward the male for a reaction. A soft sigh escaped as he seemed to just toss away the ice piece. Due to his mask, the female also found it difficult to read his expression. Her bottom lip pouted out some, before she gave up and began playing with her water again.

As she sat, the girl began to feel something crawl up her leg. Her entire body froze as a violent shiver shot straight down her spine. Eyes widened as she felt the large object make it's way onto her lap. The girl didn't move for a moment. Her body was stiff and still, waiting for whatever it was to start moving again. When it didn't, royal-blue hues looked downward onto her lap. There, lay a separate hand, just sitting on her lap. The female stared for a moment, before looking toward the male that sat near her. Her eyes narrowed again, but a small smirk made its way back to the girl's lips.

She wasn't going to give him the reaction he wanted. She simply refused to at this point. And though, her hand was a bit shaky, she took his and set it on the counter, under the blue-laced top hat. She then motioned her finger toward the hat, making the water in her glass follow. The clear liquid surrounded the hat, and froze against the counter top. Elizabeth smiled before turning to the male then. "Nice little trick." She said, crossing her legs in front of her, "But, I'm not giving it back."

A light tapping noise could be heard as the ice struck against Shenlong's facemask before landing on his chest. He held the fragment in between his fingers before tossing it aside. "You wanna play, huh? Alright, I'll bite." Shenlong whispered to himself, a playful smile coming across his lips under his mask. He slowly lowered his arm down beside his chair, hoping the girl wouldn't notice. His fingers began wriggling a bit before his entire hand quietly removed itself from his arm. "Hope she isn't prone to heart attacks."

The hand quickly and quietly scurried off under the girl's chair where it came to a stop. It waited a moment before hopping up onto the girl's dangling foot and slowly climbing up the length of her leg. Shenlong merely waited non-chalantly in his chair.

As the girl moved the water through the air, she felt a soft tap on her shoulder. "Hm..?" Her eyes shifted toward the left, where she had been hit. When finding no one there, she straightened her posture and glanced down at the floor. There, lie a small nut, rolling a bit still. Her brows came together in confusion as she stared at it, then tilted her head up. The male a few seats away was looking away suspiciously. He adjusted his mask, and tried to look casual, but failed slightly at it.

The girl's eyes were slightly narrowed, but she turned back to where her fingers were holding a large drop of water. She used her right hand to bend the body of water as she set her left elbow upright, and propped her chin in the palm of her small hand. She played with the water for a moment, before flicking her finger toward the male. While the water was traveling through the air, she dropped it's temperature and froze the liquid before it hit him. This, was to keep the water from splashing him. That was, if it even made it to him. Her fingers adjusted against her cheek to hide the small smirk that had now formed across her soft lips.

Shenlong sighed loudly before weeving his fingers behind his head and leaning back in his chair, exposing most of his bare chest. "Well...now what? Just got here and already I broke something." He chuckled a bit before closing his eyes and tilting his face towards the ceiling. "Guess I can make a few 'friends' for the bell of it."

He opened an eye slightly and stared at the girl again for a moment before secretly taking a walnut from a bowl on the counter. He placed it between his fingers and flicked it in the girl's direction, aiming for her head. He quickly averted his gaze to avoid suspicion and adjusted his facemask. "That should start things up a little bit."

The female smiled a bit as the water danced across her finger, traveling now to her wrist. Her eyes seemed to be lost in the body of liquid that swam around her pale skin, leaving no trace that it had ever been there. She concentrated on its form, and sculpted it to form a thin, clear vine that sprouted rose buds throughout the area of her hand. A light blush coated the girl's cheek as she watched the glimmering liquid transform the buds into clear water roses, each perfect flower blooming fully before they began to harden into ice.

The sound of shattering glass broke the girl's concentration, and made her wince a bit. Her body stiffened, leaving her with her hand in a fist, and her eyes jammed shut to calm herself down. The noise surprised her, but she didn't want to make it too obvious. Her eyes then opened to find the bartender unhappily cleaning the male's mess. They then shifted toward the male, just in time to catch him glancing at her. The female quickly averted her eyes, bringing them back to where her rose vine once was. When finding it wasn't on her hand, she sighed loudly.

When the male crushed his glass, the sound made Elizabeth cringe, and break her ice sculpture in the process. She found it's melting pieces form a small puddle against the surface of the counter before her.

The bartender set the glass of milk down with a thud. Shenlong waved at the man behind his head. "I'll pay you later, or something." He said cooly. The man just gave an aggrivated grunt and went to another customer.

Shenlong's nose picked up a scent that seemed too stand out above the others and turned his head toward the girl a few seats away. His brow lifted when he caught a glimpse of what was happening in her glass. "Another one, huh?" He said to himself quietly. "I guess it has been a while..." He shrugged off the thought and grabbed his glass of milk with too much force, shattering it in his hands. "Shit, uh...my bad." His eyes looked over at the bartender who had already begun wiping up the liquid with a dingy cloth, an annoyed gaze set upon Shenlong. "Uh...how much was that?" The boy asked, holding back a chuckle. The bartender just grunted and continued taking orders after cleaning up the mess. "Suit yourself." Shenlong shrugged and turned back to face the main room, not before catching another glimpse of the girl again, of course.

The sound of a bell toward the front of the tavern had caught the girl's attention, and caused her to glance back at the door. Her eyes caught glimpse of the male's appearance, but only until the tender set her glass upon the counter. The soft clink sound of glass against the counter had distracted her from the incoming male, and directed her attention to her beverage. The female nodded to him, and smiled. "Thank you," she said, before he went back to work.

As Elizabeth looked into her glass, she heard the male take a seat near her. Her blue eyes shifted to her left, managing to catch yet another glimpse at him. Royal-blue hues ran up and down the male's exterior, before returning to the chilled water that sat in front of her. She then set both of her elbows upon the counter top lazily, and let her right hand support her head. Her free hand wrapped itself around the circumference of the glass, as her pointer finger traced the rim slowly out of boredom. As her finger circled the cup, the water inside seemed to follow, leaving small ripples against its surface. She continued this motion until she almost became dizzy from watching the water spin. The girl then lifted her finger slowly, and fixed her eyes on the surface of her drink. It poked upward with her finger, then traveled further to wrap around her finger. She watched, her eyes following the trail that the water left behind.

A low thumping sound resonated from beneath Shenlong's boots as he made his way to the first establishment he had come across since his arrival in the area. He realised, to his dismay, that Tue building was none other than a run of the mill tavern. "Can't I ever find a place that doesn't have one of these boring little bars in it?" He mumbled to himself. With a slight shrug he sighed and pushed open the door to the building, making his way inside.

Once in, Shenlong took a slight glance around the room before making his way over to the counter adjusting his uncomfortable facemask. He grabbed the back of a chair, turned it so the seat was facing him, and plopped down onto it with his legs hanging of from the sides. "Hey, dude..." He waved to the bartender. "...grab me a glass of milk, will 'ya?" He winked sarcastically at the man before turning around in his seat and resting his elbows on the counter. Once again he looked over the others who also happened to be in the building.

A bell rang as the wooden door was pushed open from outside. A girl stepped through, and into the building with ease and wonder. Royal-blue eyes gleamed from under her small top-hat, examining the area with curiousity. The stench of smoke and alcohol filled her small nose quickly, and made an alarm go off in her head. She could smell burning wood. The same smell she had filled her lungs and nose with many years ago, and it made her sick. Her eyes widened, in search of the source until coming upon a small fire, built in a fireplace for light. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she then began walking to the bar. Thank goodness... She thought, relieved that there wasn't an unnecessary fire anywhere near.

As she sat upon a stool, her legs crossed in front of her, the heel of one shoe clamping onto the wooden bar that was held between two of the stool's legs. She adjusted herself nicely, sbrushing off any unwanted dust and particles that might have blown onto her clothing before removing her blue-laced hat and setting it in her lap. Her chocolate-brown hair fell, bordering her cheeks gently and roofing over her eyes. Her pale fingers gently swooped her bangs to the side, allowing her a better view of the tavern. It was cozy and quiet as the girl sat, waiting to be approached by one of the workers.

When one finally approached her, A soft smile played on her lips, making a small dimple crease on her right cheek. The man narrowed his eyes a bit at her, before asking what she'd like to drink. The girl looked young, and she was. If she had ordered something that contained alcohol, the man would directly deny her request, and he readied himself for that. But, the girl just smiled and replied, "Just a water, please." Leaving the male to sigh in relief, and begin filling a glass with water as the girl waited.

After leaving the city square, Jin saw the sign of a tavern/Inn that was facing in front of him. he read the sign aloud.
"Hallows of Darkness? I have seen worse in my days.." said Jin, as the wizard steps in the tavern entrance.
the odor of Liquir(sp?), and Cigarettes fowled the air while Jin made an relaxing sigh of comfort remembering
that a tavern is always a very peaceful place to settle down. he walked to the barcounter searching for a stool
to sit. as he found his seat, he placed his old suitcase down and awaited for a bartender to come to him.

As he watched the HUD from inside the face mask display altitude, airspeed, throttle input, compass bearing, even a GPS mini map, he could feel her despite him being so far away. She wasn't right. She wasn't herself. He smiled to himself, for he knew that would come to an end.

The night sky offered the city no evidence of anything flying through it, except for a faint ripple that is hardly seen by anyone followed by a faint sound of a jet engine. This ripple began to slow near The Hallow of Darkness, and came to rest near a window. It was then when the engines became utterly silent, yet kept the craft from crashing into the ground.

Kain aligned the exit hatch to the window and began making his way towards the exit, pressing a few interactive holographic buttons before a hiss was heard, and the door opened slowly. The ramp slid outwards and met gently alongside the exterior brick wall.

The cold night air met that of the Hallow of Darkness manager's face after opening the door, stepping outside to have a cigarette. It was dead tonight. Nothing going on whatsoever. His employees were sitting in the break room playing Texas Hold 'em Poker, trying to win some money. He didn't care. It was their money after all, not his or the business'. Sighing softly, he used one hand to slick back his hair before lighting his smoke, inhaling, and tilting his head back as he exhaled upwards into the crisp night air. It was then he realized that he was looking at a man seemingly walking in the air towards a window. Curiously, the man watched as he lifted the window and walked inside the room. He blinked several times and shook his head vigorously to make sure he wasn't sleeping or dreaming. He looked up once again and saw nothing. "I need to lay off the drugs. I'm seeing shit." Taking another drag from his cigarette, he then saw the same man come out of the window, carrying a silver-haired woman. They both disappeared just a few feet away from the window, IN MID AIR!! He couldn't believe his eyes! Was he seeing things? With confusion, he looked at his Marlboro, and flicked it into a puddle and walked back inside muttering curses. Good thing he did so, for the rippling outline of the ship began to rise in the air and fly off into the night.

Raising a slender hand to the window and places her palm against the glass, feeling the gritty grime against her flesh she begins moving it in a circular motion revealing a clean spot. Looking at the reflection she sees a being that can't be herself. The hard edge she once held had all but vanished leaving behind this frail timid creature that Samantha loathed the sight of. Quickly she turned her head away from the window so as to not see such a sight.

The feels seemed to be almost frozen where she stood, AZ though ice had crept over her form and frozen her in time. Only amethyst hues peered out into the night, seemingly looking, but the question remained. Was she seeing anything?

Samantha felt a sudden tingling as though fingertips of an unseen force ran down her spine and for an instant amethyst hues flashed to life before dimming once again. "It is but wishful thinking the femme vampire muses to herself while turning in a tight circle, surveying the small wooden dresser and cot thy made for the furnishings, the walls nothing but bare wood, wood that would leave you with a hand full of splinters should you brush your palm against it.

With a slumped gait Samantha made her way to the grungy window that barely allowed the moonlight to creep in. There she stood ever silent, except one word that passed over formerly crimson lips, "Kain."

Seeming to be just a shell of what she once was Samantha sat up on the bed, slender legs falling over the edge allowing her feet, still clad in worn black leather boots, to rest upon the floor. Normal shimmering hair of silver now seemed a dull, flat grey and normal porcelain skin now had a sallow look to it.

Drawing in a breath deep enough for her chest to heave, slender hands were placed beside her and with more effort then should have been required Samantha rose to a standing position. Her petite stature seeming smaller then usual as the passion that once coursed through her and had made her appear larger had long fled, leaving a diminutive almost timid being in it's place.

Waking on her bed, laying in almost.the same position. She had lain down in so many days or perhaps week s ago. Her eyelids slid open sounding like brittle parchment paper. With a deep sigh that passes her dry cracked lips Samantha drNk in her deb surroundings with her purple orb.

Every part of her wanted to stay in this room until he came back or until she died, but deep down she knew better ans that it was time to start a new, single hanzedly if it be so.

Footsteps that seemed to drag more than make a stepping noise approached the tavern door, slender hand placed on the flat wood surface she pushed her way inside. Almost unrecognizable in tattered dirty clothing, silver hair unkempt and wearineass and sadness etched onto her normally attractive face. With her dragging footsteps she threw a couple 20 dollar bills on the counter. "I need a room with a bath, there will be more money in it for you if you keep people away." Her words barelly finished passing over her drued cracked lips sshe made her way to her room, shoulders weighed down with the burden of having lost her love for so long.

No even removing her clothing Samanth layed down on the lumpy mattress and a pillow that felt almost nonexistent but as soon as her eyelids fell closed she slept.

He could feel her lust for him as she stepped into him, and he could no longer resist her. His arms wrapped slowly around her slender waist and one hand grabbed her ass, slapping it hard before the two instantly vanished into thin air, Turel's mask vanishing with them. A grin of desire upon his face as he cast a deadly gaze towards the bartender, causing the man to burst out blood from his eyeballs and screaming in sheer horror and pain.

Placing the wine glass on the bar top beside the mask Lilith slid off the barstool and stepped inbetween Turel's legs, her femanine smell mixing with the perfume she wore as it rose up to Turel's nose. Softly raising her hand she brushed his hair back from his neck and ear before she lended in closer, her full breasts brushing against his broad chest while the tips of her fangs brush over the flesh of his neck "anywhere you wish to take me" she whispered horsely into his air, her warm breath brushing against him.

With a sly grin, he placed his hand upon her knee and slowly slid his fingertips upon her silky smooth skin as his eyes began to roam over her body, particularly her cleavage, undressing her with his eyes. Lust and desire begin to take over and it almost speaks for him. "Don't tell me someone with your beauty would mind a more... private setting. Of course, privacy doesn't have to be considered, if you prefer a more... open scenario." He was openly flirting with her as well. All shyness had disappeared. It had been a long time since he had been with a woman, and none had interested him as much as Lillith interests him now.
