Sensing someone behind him, Kain whirls around and pounces onto Sam, sinking his sharp fangs into the flesh of her neck, her blood spilling into his mouth. Little did everyone around know, that Sam is Kain's wife, and that she was a vampire as well. But they didn't notice. They were too busy fleeing for their lives from the blood hungry monster who was killing at will. Kain continues to feed off of his beloved wife's blood, his bloodlust rapidly decreasing as he feeds.

Screams of terror and horror fill the air, the smell of blood thick on the breeze as it carries itself the distance fromKain to where Samantha remains still rooted in her spot. The bloodtears stop falling as she phases into the concrete sidewalk rising up in the shadows only meer feet from Kain, yet she seems to be invisible, only her amethyst eyes visible from the darkness. Intently she watches the scene before her unfold, the scream that Kain unleashes making her ears ring.

A thick cloud of dust fills the air, several vehicle accidents are signified by the whining sounds of multiple car horns blaring all at the same time. People chatter amongst themselves as they try to see if everyone else is ok or injured. Slowly, their attention turns towards the giant impact crater in the middle of the road. Slowly, a horde of people begin to crowd around the hole in the ground. Steam fumigates from within the crater, yet they are curious as to what could have fallen down. Those who had seen Kain fall know its a body down there and chose to stay away and not witness the grotesque nature of a twisted, mangled corpse lying in the middle. They are the smart ones. For the next thing they know is death and gore as Kain leaps out from the crater, his fangs latching on to the nearest person's neck. The man screams in terror, falling backwards to the ground as his blood fills Kain's mouth. Everyone looks in astonishment as to what is happening, and soon realize as they all see blood dripping onto the concrete, and seeing Kain roar upwards to the heavens with human blood streaming down his chin and neck, that a monster had awakened. Panic sets in, screams of terror and fear instantly fill the air and Kain sets into a feeding frenzy with the bloodlust taking over his movements.

Drawing in sharply Samantha watches in horror as Kain plummets downward, the impact of him hitting the streets cause her to rock slightly back and forth. Trying to rush forward she fails to move finding that she is frozen with fear, blood tears stream down her cheeks slowing falling from her jawbone before falling free and splattering to the sidewalk.

From the skies, Kain plummets closer to the earth, and begins to unfold his wings. But there's no lift. Something's wrong. "What the hell?" He turns his head, and to his shock, there are no wings at all. Nothing there to slow his descent, nothing to stop him from falling. He begins to try to remember how to fly without his wings, but such is an ability he's long forgotten from not using the ability in such a long time. Turning his body, he'd rather plummet into the ground with his back, rather than take a massive injury to his front side. Down and down he falls, watching skyscrapers begin to rise as his altitude lowers. He hears the screams of several people down in the streets, watching him fall to what they believe is his death. With a massive shockwave, his body crashes into the streets, several cars slamming on their brakes to avoid the impact directly in front of them, a few vehicles skidding into the crater, while the ones closest to the impact are hurled into the air and away from where Kain had fallen. Plumes of smoke and dust, debris and refuge fly into the air along with the cars, and all out panic begins to set in with the pedestrians as they had just witnessed the horror of someone crashing into the ground from out of nowhere.

The familiar sense within her suddenly grows stronger within her, her heart seeming to jump to life. Tilting her head back Samantha looks towards the night skys, the once bright stars now dimmed by the city lights. Using her vampiric sight the images that a human would be unable to see stand out clearly to her. For a moment she spots nothing unusual then she spots him and a soft smile carves across her crimson lips.

Samantha's footsteps suddenly faulter, the sounds around her dim as if they had moved miles away from her, she stands unmoving as a famaliar sense consumes her, yet it it faint and almost forgotten. Her right hand raises to the back of her neck, rubbing it absently while she ponders if she has finally gone completly mad. A gust of wind rises blowing a crumbled piece of paper tumbling past her feet, her hair blwoing like ribbons behind her and she waits for the feeling to continue.

As she walks she hears the distant hum of traffic, a sound that even after all these many years she has failed to get used to, and still holds a distast for. Even hundreds of years ago she was old fashioned. At this thought she utters a chuckle, yet it is hallow and lacking of humor. The sadness still in her eyes as her gaze falls to the sidwalk on which she walks. She catches the yells and curses of some young males perhaps a few blocks away and for a moment she thinks of scaring them, but even that thought is joyless.

Drawing in a breath of the night air, her lungs expanding as she holds then in a sigh she exhales, the air passing over her crimson lips. Waiting just a moment longer she then again begins walking silently through the streets, sticking to the shadows, an invisible figure of the darkness. If anybody could see into her eyes they would see a glint of sadness as well as determination.

Soft footsteps echo off the buildingsa. For several moments nothing appears before finally the form of a female vampire emerges from the shadows, hair of silver falling down her back softly to her waist, several strands catching the moonlight causing it to shimmer. Amethyst hued eyes peer from a porclan face as she casts her gaze about ever so slowly. She stops and stands alone in the night.
