PostThe Streets of Shadows

A maze of ever turning and intercrossing roads, lined with tall oak tress and drip with spanish moss that sways soundlessly in the breeze casting their lacy shadow where you tread. There are many dark alleys and heavy shadows where creatures of the night may lurk. Gas lanterns line the streets with the soft amber glow that just creates more ever dancing shadows

As the moon was snuggled with a cloudy blanket, echoey tapping and loud screaming flooded the streets the current night, caused by shoes and doomed civilians.
Running out from an alley way corner was a heavily clothed raven haired teen, and just chasing close behind him was a group of high ranked vampires. What were they doing chasing him, and why are they so powerful? Previous ones hadn't shown to be this hostile.
Hikaru shook his thoughts off, he hadn't the time to ponder in his own thoughts. He needed to fight back or else he would be another tasty morcile for these creatures of the night.
Spotting a dead end street litten by low lit lanterns, he quickly began to unsheathe his katana that rested on his back. He was quite bit of ways ahead of them. He had time to make a battle plan.

The young raven head was so peaked in his suspicions that he was oblivious to the area until now. It was beginning to grow dusk, he needed to get out of this place or at least a secure place to stay for one.
The past couple nights in this city hadn't been to great for the teen. Vampires seemed to appear more, or rather mostly, at night. Maybe the folk tales he heard from travelers were true about vampires.
But he had to worry about that in a later time, for right now he would have to survive another night in the Streets of Shadows.

Once Hikaru had made his way around a corner, people smelling like smoke and with panic planted on their faces as the made way past the young teen.
A puzzled look began to take over his own face. 'What..happened?' he thought to himself as curiosity took over his body and took him the opposite way.
With his katana on his back, it rattled in each hard step he took, adding to the sound was his combat boots when walking fast.
What was causing these people to freak out? Could he match whatever it was' power?
As the raven headed teen turned at one last street, scorched buildings and piles of ash and the reatreating local troops was all that was in his vision. "What happened?" Was all he could come up with to say as things were.

Troops from another region arrived, cornering Cassiel with their weapons of darkness. a wizard was behind them. his name was damen.
Damen grinned with a smile standing closer to cassiel as the angel cancelled his flames and gazed at the man. "Cassiel... you tainted your brother way too
long... your as evil as raviel himself.." Damen said pulling out his pocketwatch. "Raviel stands for wickedness.... even you Damen... do not follow me again... or your death is swift and painless" with a blink of an eye, cassiel escaped from Damen, for the man knew the very weakness of cassiel. "we will watch you Cass... and with one slightest weakness.. we will be there.... lets go men..." damen said grinning as he walked away with the troops deep in the shadows of the alleys. the flames then turned to smoke leaving most heavy damage to the streets of cimmerian.

out of the shadows reveals the furious Angel who has been humiliated by a nemesis that has made his plans into sham. "my attempts to destroy this wicked place
has grown me impatient long enough! it is time for a personal cleanse! Raviel's remains must perish!!" without saying a word further, the angel used the mantle of flames housed within his soul, summoning
fire from his hands. his gaze and presence alerted the people of cimmerian that upon watch they ran in fear. the angel revealed his falcon wings
unauthentic to the other angels from heaven. his hat covered his face as he raised his hands consumed with altered fire, and suddenly, blasts of flames disburst in every direction
literally destroying and burning everything that moves. cars exploded, vampires and humans cry out in dying agony as they were gravely consumed with the flames of Uriel. the street
has reached its first taste of Cassiels destruction.

Unlike the town's dark and shadow infested countepart. The sun hung above everything, giving off its warming light.
Walking out from an alley was a young raven headed teen whom seemed a bit out of place. His deep purple eyes with vertical slits began to scan from left to right. Whilst looking around, in his right hand was a kunai knife held upside down with a bit of blood covering one edge.
Seeing he wasn't in danger no longer his once tensed face eased and with a flick of the wrist holding the kunai, the blood flew off having no drop left.
Releasing a short sigh he calmly put his weapon back into his right combat boot and quickly made way down street, not really sure where though.

He turned quickly to watch her figure dissapear in the sea of people, grimace fell over his face as he slammed wraith into the edge of the building. Its bricks splitting all the way to the cement floor.
"KATHERINEEEE" he roared as he knew she had once again evaded him, but for how long would this game of cat and mouse play out. Crimzon's eyes changed back to its original piercing blue color. Snatching the blade up quickly he placed it back in its rightful place.
"I told you once wraith... you lost this body... its my turn for a change"
The swords glimmer began to dimm down with Katherines dissapearance. Crimzon knew all too well why the sword reacted to her, but he would not let him back into the real world. This time things would be different, this time he was in control...

He allowed him to toy with her for a moment, not fliching when she felt the daggers press into her skin as she knew they were silver. The one thing that could harm bad enough to kill her. A sinister grin took place of her smile "Then you shall remember that with your own wraith i took the very life you breath air with" sinking into the shadows of their very own shadows she reppeared behind him, the scent of roses wafted off her hair as the breezze picked up "And so even now with the times changed I will not yield like before" she breath was was mere inches from the nape of his neck, she could easily bite him but instead jumped backwards off the building and landed on the ground gracefully and flitted towards the busy streets.

He closed his eyes to the feel of her cold hand on his cheek. Crimzon's eyes reopened showing only black and with lightning fast reflexes he snatched a hold of Katherines hand. A wicked grin replacing the softer less suttle expression on his face and his fangs glistened underneath the moonlight.
Two silver daggers now pressed against her side as he leaned into her whispering once more in a different a more dark and cryptic tone. "I remember our first battle... When you woke me from my slumber Madame."
Wraith now was humming louder than ever before, it seemed to be speaking out, but for what reason noone really knew.
"Silent" Crimzon uttered to the sword.
"You'll not get this body back"
Now in the shadows of the night, Katherine could see his true reflection. For just a moment he appeared as he once did before. White haired, with green eyes, a remnant of the Crimzon who once died at Katherines fingertips.

Taking a step backwards so he would not have fall off the building, her auburn locks laid still upon her shoulders as her once blood red eyes now hold a softer silver tint to them stared into his blue ones. A smile crept onto the corners of her lips as she saw him fully, though she could see the difference in his face "indeed so very long ago, and a much different time that was" almost instinctivly she raised her pale hand up to his face and ran her icy bare knuckles over his rough cheek, the texture didnt seem to bother her.

Slowly Crimzon turned around to face the vampiress, his eyes raised to meet hers. A scar now ran across his left eyebrow and his face had been hardened by war. A time he spent through the ages without her... A time where he had found meaning again at the hilt of his blade. Allowing his heart to harden from that night events.
"Has it ?" he asked slowly raising into the air to stand face to face to her. With grace and agile movement he inched closer to her now face to face with the aubern haired vixen of the night.
He closed his eyes and opened them again a sort of wander lust within them. An almost intoxicating acknowledgment of Katherines presence. Wraith however glowed underneath the night sky, the sword held a different agenda. Now more living than dead the swords own soul craved what it had lost that night.
"You know we will always remember that night" he whispered refferring to Wraith and himself.
Crimzons lips now only inches from Katherines as every muscle in his body stiffened he dared not let his eyes leave hers, not for one second.

Hearing her name being spoken even if it was but a mere whisper spoken from the very lips of Crimzon, lips that her very ice cold ones kissed so very long ago. Sighing deeply she watched as he seemed dumbfounded to even look at her, would he even recognize her after all this time, thoughts enshrouded her mind. She could hear his rapid heartbeat which seemed to echoe her very own beneath her chest "Its been a long time Crimzon" she uttered with a fanged smile as she stood behind him on the building.

Crimzon's eyes widened at the sound of the familiar voice. He gritted his teeth, his heart beat pumping faster, the cold air showing each shallow breath he drew in. Closing his blue eyes he simply whispered in an almost inaudible voice "...Katherine...". Thoughts swarmed in his head, it had been so long since he heard her voice, since he saw her form.
Scared to turn and face the damsel, he simply stood there waiting for her move, waiting for what was about to unfold. His chest still held a sizeable scar from the blade she had plunged into him, his own blade Wraith.
Time seemed to stand seeminglessly still, not a person seemed to move, not a flake of snow floated towards the earth, even the air had not cooled his skin, since those words were uttered from her lips.

She watched him look for her as if he knew it was her, smirking she stood where she was in the middle of a crowd. Though im sure he would spot her sooner or later, once he disappeared and landed on the lamp post, she smirked and snapped her finger. She was now standing on a nearby building perched over where crimzon stood on the lamp post "forgotten me already, hmmm what a shame" her voice never changed in tone, it was cold and yet still held a calm tone.

The streets seemed to fall silent, almost void of sound what so ever. Crimzons hair stood up on the back of his neck, feeling a familiar feeling he had gotten in his past. That of someone watching him, of time when he prayed to the goddess of Aesier to deliver him to his father.
His heart beat faste, not knowing where it was coming from what perch that form may lay. He stopped dead in his tracks unsheathing wraith. Its familiar ebony appearance soothing him in the dead of the night, a reminder of his time spent well beneath the abyss.
With the flick of his wrist he dissapeared, now standing above the streets. Balanced on a lamp post, scanning intensely for the her. It must be her or was it a trick a sick and twisted flashback. A solemn expression grew across his face as he felt the cold air carress his cheek. (Must be my imagination) he thought to himself, though he dared not move from his perch.

As she walking, the heels of her boots echoed off the bricked walls of the buildings around her. Katherine felt a presence that she had long forgotten, stopping in a crowd of people her head snapped around and her silver orbs scanned the streets until her eyes fell upon him, the blue hues catching her attention. Drawing in a breath of air she was stunned to see him after so long though a small smile crept over her thin ruby red lips allowing her pearly fangs to peer beaneth her uppper lips.

A shadow of man appeared underneath a nearby street light. His piercing blue eyes gazing out into the world and his surroundings. The airs arrome stirring something deep inside this mans soul, something took him back to a time before this one.
Crimzon reached for the hilt of his blade wraith, his eyes weary of the people coming and going. Though he knew not what he was looking for it was clear that noone was friend or foe on these darkened streets. Crimzon's leather duster flowing behind him, outlining his sillouhette as he pressed forward.

Katherine aimlessly walked into the streests of cimmerian. She didnt bother driving her car it seemed pointless when she could walk, with her long wavy auburn hair swaying gently in the quiet breeze that nestled around her shoulders. Brightly silver hues looked around as the human citizens gawked at her appearance, wearing jeans and ankle length boots with a tshirt. It wasnt the way she dressed that had the other citizens in awe, it was the way she walked, the mere way she carried herself. After centuries of giving up her crown she was still graceful as ever, her steps were flowing as if she were gliding over the paved roads. She chuckled amused as if they had never seen a vampire before, shaking her head she just kept walking.

Vincent: *he opened his mouth to speak and caught himself about to say something rather stereotypical of males, he closed his eyes and chuckled a bit, deciding to give an honest reply* Your scent is intriging. I would explain why and how but your likely not to understand. Besides, I think you enjoy my company. However slight that enjoyment maybe.

"You" answered the amused Vampyre as her ruby eyes tirely glanced back at the male. "Why do you insist on following me?" she then questioned suddenly pausing before him, arms crossed and lips accidently catched a tail of black hair. Beckoning for a reason Thyra wasn't too sure about him, a bit paranoid she maybe but certainly cautious. Eyes locked onto Vincent studying his eyes obviously not human she thought, something particularly intruiging about him, his presence was not like any other.

Vincent: *he arched an eyebrow at her laughter, finding it oddly amusing, he releases his webline and follows suit* What the hell is so damn funny doll? *he said in a humorous tone while pocketing his hands*

The Vampyre paused at his last demand cold lips parted yet no words came out, only a playful laughter which sung hollowly as she began walking down the streets of shadows.

After a long interesting night of adventure the Vampyre had started to tire yearning for a short rest, she yawned longingly and deep "Ugh... Well its been a pleasure meeting you Vincent I'm sure we'll cross path again, but for now I must retire" farewelled Thyra as she stretched upward muscles shook and armor clenched. Something beyond the horizon challenged their very soul.

Vincent: The name is Vincent. *he said simply, looking over her as he tossed the small bottle to the side* And perhaps you can handle yourself. Or duck and cover. *he glanced over his shoulder then back at the female*
