The Streets of Shadows 1838527_f260

A maze of ever turning and intercrossing roads, lined with tall oak tress and drip with spanish moss that sways soundlessly in the breeze casting their lacy shadow where you tread. There are many dark alleys and heavy shadows where creatures of the night may lurk. Gas lanterns line the streets with the soft amber glow that just creates more ever dancing shadows

The young teen seemed to start to blackout. His vision gettig hazzier by the second. He had to do something and fast.
His eyes widened in realization of how he could get out of the situation. With both this arms free, he clamped his two hands and begun forming strange handsigns. Suddenly before the vampire realized he was actually doing something, Hikaru blasted a purple fog from his mouth and into the vamp's face. It had no time to react and inhaled the poison. It's own vision begun to go awry now and let go of him as it stumbled about, trying to get in control of its senses.
If it recovered, Hikaru wouldn't be able to do that again. Unfortunately he had to flee from this battle. He has never needed to do this before, training far more better than he's done is needed now it seems.
Now, with no hesistation the raven haired teen found his sword and fled.

"Rrrr.." He growled under his breath as he spat a bit of blood towards the vampire as it laughed at him. No way was he gonna die. Not yet.
"You think that was my best, pale creature of the night?" He struggled a bit as he stood and brushed himself off. His face spoke determined but inside he wasn't sure what to to. So he said the only that he'd probably regret. "Well baldie...I haven't got all night..nor do you.."
The vamp snickered at the young teen's attempt to psych him out. It was as if a mouse growled at wolf in challenging for alpha male. With incredible speed the vampire ran towards him had a fist ready to planted into Hikaru's face.
Just before potential impact the raven haired boy stepped backwards and tripped over something unkown, as the vamp got to him it missed. Seeing the chance at hand he kicked with both legs into the vamp's stomache maing him fly up into the air and with the last of his kunai he threw it at it but suddenly it disappeared.
"Oh...I've seen this before.." He said as he expected a major blow again and to his avail there was the vampire from behind again, only this time he was grabbed by throat and hung into the air. Making sure the see eye to eye. With the his own deep purple and horizontal slitted eyes, he looked back at the other's blood red. "Gah..." He managed to spill out of his mouth before any air wouldn't be able to. Was this how it ends? After all that determination? Maybe he bit off more than he could chew, but that always ended up happening didn't it? He always pulled his way out of something, such as this. Right?

Lumiya: Nice chatting with you, but I've got more to kill. Take care of yourself Meggie. *with that she took off down the street heading baack towards the casino, waving at the female she was conversating with before using her incredible speed to seemingly reach warp speed levels and vanish in a trailing blur of her former self*

Hikaru, the young japanese teen, took a swing at the high classed vampire as it sped towards him. Only it was what happened that he didn't expect that made him stop. The vamp disappeared, and suddenly gave the raven haired teen a kick from the back of his head resulting him flying foward and dropping his black bladed katana.
He had no idea what just happened until he hit the ground hard. "Gah..this guy.."
Stunned a bit he struggled to stand back up, and just as he did another hard kick flew into his chest, sending him flying back into a tree. The sound of twisting bark and wood filled the area.
It was too dark for him to see anymore, can he beat this guy?

Glancing over her shoulder Maggie again looked to the woman, "well no man has any sense at all, common or otherwise." With that a snirk pulled at the corner of her lips before she again turned her head forward while shoving her hand back into her pocket.

Lumiya: *she grinned at her reply, crossing her slender tanned arms over her busty chest* I usually don't give strangers the courtesy of assuming they have common sense. Espeacially men. *the bus driver exsited the vechile, the doors opening just infront of Lumiya, her head turned partically to look upon him*

Man: L-lady you alright? *he asked stuttering in shock at recent events*

Lumiya: *she gave the man no form of reply, except an intimidating glare*

With a sigh of annoyance Maggie stopped walking and turned her form to face the femme. "Hey, no offense, but unless you got one then I usually don't call a woman a prick.* pulling her right hand out of her pocket she tapped against her temple with her index and middle finger, some sort of tattoo showing as the sleeve of her jacket slid up her arm. "Common sense you know." She stood watching the scene for a few more minutes before shrugging her shoulders and turning back the way she had been traveling.

Lumiya: For your sake I hope you weren't reffering to me as a prick missy. *Lumiya said with a polite voice, her eyes keeping striaght ahead*

*the male couldn't find words for a reply to Lumiyas response, non that he wanted to utter except*

Male: Bitch! *just as he was about to walk off he felt an arm around his neck, choking him and pulling him to the sidewalks edge. Suddenly he was turned around, and the arm around his neck was switched to a hand. Slowly he was lifted into the air solely on Lumiyas grip which threated to crush his entire neck, bone and all*

Lumiya: What was that Donny? I can't hear you? *a bus came into ear shot as she dropped Donny, the bus driver slams upon the brakes catching the peril the poor man was in, judging that he hit the brakes far enough away to avoid running him over. However Lumiya anticipated this and uses her telekenitic power to push the bus foreward just enough. Just enough to catch Donnys neck as he tried to catch his breath oblivious to the approuching transport bus. His head popped right of his body as the bus came to a stop on his neck. Lumiya merely shrugged and watched as the blood leaked from Donnys head which lay just at her feet as she inquired to the woman that passed by earlier again* I'll ask again, afterwards I'll assume you were reffering to me with your comment and I'll do worse to you. Were you calling me a prick when you passed by me? *again in a polite nochalont tone, perfectly masking her deadly mind*

Hearing the conversation as she passed by the male and female, Maggie couldn't help but laugh beneath her breath. "Such pricks," she muttered while continuing to walk, weaving her way through the other people on the sidewalk, all of whom seemed to be walking against her.

Lumiya: *an angry march led her just past the rushing patrol cars, having ignored the earlier disturbance as she knew very well from whom it came from. And she was tailing him like a snake does its wounded prey. Her march brought her to a crossing in the street. Traffic was passing thus she had to stop and wait. If only just to fit in and keep her whereabouts to her prey hidden. A hand to her hip, she leans to her side and notices a woman walking up to her. Hands in her pockets as a male walks up to Lumiyas side*

Male: Nice day isn't it?

*Lumiya hardly glanced in his direction as she watched the cars zoom by*

Male: My names Donny, you are?

Lumiya: Hello Donny. If you value your life you'll walk away from me and never speak outwordly to another woman who is obviously uninterested in your exsitance again. Or you can open your mouth in an attempt to speak to me again, and I'll show you why you 'don't' want to know my name.

Inhaling the last drag off her cigarette, the smoke filling her lungs, Maggie used her thumb and middle finger to flick it away from her, watching as the cigarette hit the sidewalk and embers scattered across the ground before quickly going out. As she passed over where the butt had landed she used the tip of her black running shoe to extenquish it.

Chestnut tresses brushed against her shoulders, the curls bouncing lightly as she walked, emerald hues gazing out from an olive toned face. A face that would most often be described as cute. Her face was heart shaped, her nose just slightly upturned with a spattering of freckles across it that fell onto her checks as well.

As she shoved her hands into her light weight jacket she just walked with no purpose, simply wanting fresh air.

Whence the straightening in his stance induced a readjusted posture, crimson irises watched a patrol car feed off into the direction of the smoke. It seems someone discovered his message after all. A light efortless leap returned him to street level, out of the crater that created only smears of sedimental dust and withering construct at the circumference of his greaves. Hellishly enchanted onyx forged armoring.

Without wait, Domitrix retreated into another alleyway in search of such operative reconnaissance zone. His pace directed away from the incident. As he walked, another patrol wooshed by the street that he was just on, drifting its tires and turning into the street headed for the fire. A different siren farther than the first two, in the distance, of a larger vehicle. Perhaps the fireforces.

Without turning to look back, he pressed on his pace. It wasn't one of haste, but it did contain a higher speed than his usually calmed song. Just upon the exit of the alley, still managing to hold position before a dumpster and two empty trash cans, his firebricks caught glance of a stretch building. One story high. Multiple windows. A neon sign above the main entrance, on a pole infront of the driveway, read:

'Overlook Motel'.

"I love you too my dark queen." Kain said softly just before he plants a gentle kiss upon her forehead and the mist began to swirl about them. Just before they vanished, Kain's keen sense of hearing heard what sounded like a slab of concrete striking the side of a building after having been launched into the air. A sideways glance towards the direction of the sound took place just as the forms of Kain and Samantha vanished from thin air within the mist.

While cinnabar ocules spun and pulsed as visage switched around to gaze at any opportunity of shelter, ears caught distant sound of conversation occurring. Though no word could be made audible above the crackling embers of the smokey flame. The demon searched for a spot where he could light a fire on his palm and read the previously retrieved file.

But now with the attention circling around that part of town, the open was just about compromised. Soon enough, reinforcements are to arrive, as well as a probability of air patrol. A helicopter was sure to spot the Empyreal if he remained in the same location, waiting for the party to start.

Instead, he decided to drop all way down to the base floor of the streets. A good thirty-two story descend. The obsidian robes fluttered as legs and knees positioned themselves for a seldom landing, guided by the balance of arched upper limbs in the quickening cascade of armored being.

In ruse and rift of momentum, the demon triggered the Hammer of Deaf technique, dispersing of any possible soundwave to emanate from his fall's end. His weight on the other hand, cracked the concrete of the street, enabling multiple plates flight in scattered directions. He was knee-deep in a self designed crater of concrete and dirt, yet not a single rustle in his obsidian was heard at all.

A soft rain began to fall causing the fire to sizzle softly, while the drops fall ipon Kain and Samantha. The water beads upon Kain's flesh before rolling off while her flesh simply absorbs the water.

"I love you my dark king," she says softly, stepping in closer to him as the mist rises around their forms and swallows them.

For a few moments longer Kain watched the death scene as his hand grasped that of his beloved's, squeezing it firmly. "Well, we should get out of here before the fire department shows up. CSI should have a difficult if not impossible time to identify the cause of death and possibly rule this as an accident." With fluid motion, Kain turned to Samantha and smiled softly just for her while a black mist began to creep around them, preparing to take them home.

Selecting a fairly new building to arrive from the sequence of leaps that were fed from the Courthouse district, the demon found himself yet again along the roof of a intermediately sized building. Although there were three others much taller than itself, from there he could see the rising smoke that mixed with the atmosphere. And the slight glimpse of vibrance from the flame that gave birth to it, or atleast the corners of the light.

With firebrick visage and ears at the aware, stoic demeanor gazed at the area while creating a pace to the edge of the rooftop with onyx heeled greaves. There was no sound of a siren, and no lights other than the flame. Odd, the Empyreal did hear sirens of a cruiser earlier. Must have been caught in an accident, or disposed of.

Behind the curtain of the rain rest the obsidian silhouette, in still-life like a gargoyle. The cloak wrapped around him without effort or command. The city seemed to bit a knotch higher in volume of cruelty whence the night arrived. All the better for the forbidden one.

The shockwave ruffled Samantha's hair as it blew past the two vampires, the smile across her lips spreading even wider with the destrustion. The smell of burning debris, mixed with the faint scent of gasoline and burning flesh wafted through the air, while she felt the heat against her body from the flames that now reflected in her amethyst hues, catching the light and causing them to sparkle brighter than normal.

Standing transfixed she watches the flames dance in and around the other, black smoke rising from the burning mess, a slight gust of wind just acting to fuel the flames. Her slender hand searches out that of her beloved's while she stands beside him in the night. "Yes, it certainly has it's moments my darling."

Kain wasted no time and grabbed the lifeless officer's shirt and dragged him into his car, seat belted him then with quick motions, placed the dead cop's foot fully down onto the accelerator. With a smile, he shifted the gear selector into drive and released the parking brake. Kain didn't even need to pull his leg out of the doorway, for the car sprang to life and roared down the street.

The Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor roared like a hungry creature, speeding into the night like a bat out of hell, as if seeking out its next victim. The 3.5 liter, 350 HP, V-8 engine carried the 4,000 lb powerhouse right into the side of a building where tires screeched and screamed, trying to propel the car further. A clear liquid began to pour from underneath the car, and with a spark from the electrical circuits of the building the entire tank filled with gasoline exploded, a small shockwave blasting past Samantha and Kain.

A dark smile gleamed the night as Kain witnessed the horror, proud of his method of covering the evidence. "This day and age is so much more amusing than the days of the old, isn't it my love?"

Samantha feels the officer go limp in her arms, hanging there like a gothic rag doll. Slowly she pulls her head back, blood coating fangs, lips and dripping onto her chin as a soft blush rises in her cheeks, a warmth grows on her face while a luster appears over her skin while the fresh blood courses through her veins, bringing life to her once again.

Unwrapping her arms from around the male he falls in a crumpled heap to the ground, now just bones contained by his blanket of flesh. Raising her hand up she prushes her hair back oshoulder with slender digits before using the back of her hand to wipe away the blood from her face, fangs slowly retracting once again while turning her form to that of her beloved, a soft smile dancing across her now ruby red lips.

The officer gasped in horror of what was happening to him, he never thought vampires existed. He had heard the myths and legends just like everybody else, but seeing as he'd never seen one or heard of any lucrative evidence of their existance. He now knew the truth. And it was too late to stop it.

As his beloved fed, Kain moved to the side of the officer and grabbed hold of his wrist. With a sharp fingernail that sliced the flesh easily, blood beginning to ooze from the clean cut wound. But something intriguing happened. The blood did not drip to the ground. Instead, much like running water would act exiting a faucet, the blood mimiced this physic, and flowed into the gaping fanged maw of Kain.

The officer had seen it all. Not only did vampires exist, but at least one has the ability to drink blood without leaving the mark of fangs. This new evidence of the legends and myths being true, began to fade to black as what little life the officer of the law began to dim.

Officer Brian Johanson of the Cimmerian Police Department now hung limp in the arms of Samantha Reaver.

Ivory fangs quickly extended from her pink gums at the sight of the crimson liquid flowing freely from the blow delivered by her beloved.

"It seems they will never learn my love, but that makes it all the more fun for us." Her voice held a now sultry, seductive tone that hadn't been there a moment ago, the pull of the blood working it's magic over her.

Samantha had the officer in her grasp in a flash, a movement that no human would have been able to see. Her slender arms wrapped around the males form, pressing his body to that of her own almost as though they were lovers. Lowering her head to the male's neck, her silver hair falling over her face, obscuring it from view, she quickly begain to drink. The warm coppery tasting liquid filling her mouth and coatong her tongue before sliding down her throat. A soft moan escaped her against the male's flesh while continuing to drink, allowing it to nourish her body.

As the officer glanced at the two standing before his police vehicle, he stepped behind them to place handcuffs on Kain's wrists, and Kain allowed it. The officer layed Kain on the hood of the car and began to search him.

"Looking for something officer? I did nothing wrong."

"Be quiet."

A chuckle emanated from Kain's mouth just before he leaned upright and began to slowly pull his arms apart, straining the handcuff chains. The officer stepped back a few steps and drew his weapon. "GET DOWN ON THE CAR NOW!"

"As you wish."

With a swift motion, Kain headbutted the car, the force of the impact causing the hood to smash into itself, lifting the back of the vehicle up a few feet into the air and landing back on the ground with a thud. Kain whipped around just in time to redirect the discharging weapon with his now free hands, the bullet whizzing off into the distance and ricocheting in the night. Ruby blood spewed from the officer's neck as the retraints that once held Kain's wrists together sliced through the flesh, the now bloodied hands of the lawman covering the slit and falls to the ground.

"Do you people ever learn to not pick a fight with a vampire?" Kain chuckled, and with a motion towards the officer, allowed his beloved to feed before him.

Samantha would have preferred to just take the officer out in her fashion, but it seemed Kain had plans of his own. "As you wish" she replied to the officer, the corners of her lips pulling her mouth into that of a smirk. Turning her form she faced the police vehicle and slwoly walked to where it had been indicated for her to stand. She kept a cold stare on the officer with each step that she made beforing coming to stop before the front end of the police cruiser.

"Sounds like a plan to me my love. And maybe we can catch a drive-thru meal on the way home." Kain says with a wicked chuckle and a wink towards his beloved.

A police interceptor rounded the corner, heading down the street where the murder had taken place, down the street where Kain and Samantha now stand. Kain turned to face the approaching vehicle, the headlights brightening up his already pale skin color. As it drew closer, it halted to a stop and a uniformed officer stepped cautiously out into the night, his right hand resting upon his firearm.

"You two, step this way please."

With a subtle glance towards his beloved, his thoughts shifted to tell her to comply with the officer's demands... for now. And with that thought, Kain slowly approached the officer, who then pointed to the front of his car and issued another order. "To the front of my car please."

Kain complied.
